I have done a number of posts on the “kind of a collaboration” theme. It started with curated lots of beads and components I would get from Andrew Thornton: Project Destash. Then I branched out with some other things I bought together in destashes. This time, I got a start with a design mix from the Classic Elements shop.
This shop is a favorite place to buy waxed linen, my favorite stringing material. Tracee, the owner, also offers fabulous pendants, beads and other treasures. When I was making my linen purchase last time, I saw this most perfect necklace starter kit. I liked all the beads, so I thought why not? I could always use them separately.
When I got the kit, which is everything in the front through the small green rounds, I could not separate the beads. They were so perfect that I used them just as they were. I added a few African glass beads, metal and some chain with a hefty clasp at the back. Easy-peasy, and now, a beautiful necklace!
Using beads other people have curated is really fun. I look forward to more in the future.
