I haven’t been buying many beads lately, but there are just some beads I can’t pass up, even on a bead diet. Recently, on Famous Vintage Bead Hoard Liquidation Destash, I scored a couple strands of vintage Czech glass Mardi Gras beads. Can you imagine back when they were actually made of glass instead of plastic? They were too gorgeous for me to pass up. They’re exactly the sort of thing I love. Strands of random, multi-color beads of different sizes and shapes.

Two long, multi-color necklaces made with various styles and sizes of beads.

I didn’t do much to these. I restrung them on waxed linen. The strands were broken, so I’m not sure how long they were originally, but at 40″ long each with beads left over, I’m guessing the strands were mighty long!

These seem so carefree and fun, just like Fat Tuesday is supposed to be.
