Nunn Design recently had a giveaway on their Facebook page, and I was one of the lucky winners! This was the photo on the giveaway. The question was if we saw anything we’d like to create with. The answer is yes! Everything, of course, but what really caught my eye was all the rings. The large hammered rings in addition to all the great different size, shape and textures of jump rings. Here is what I was sent:
Wonderful, right? I had about 9 million ideas. (That is just an estimate.) But that really told me how versatile these findings are. I will be ordering more of all the rings so I can bring lots of my design ideas to life. For now, here is the one I’ve made.
There is weird lighting in my house lately; I think the light is struggling through the change of seasons! But the Nunn Design products still look great! I took a design tip from the giveaway photo and used a jumble of different jump rings above the pendant, a gorgeous polymer clay focal spike by Jon Burgess Design that has the look of turned wood!
One of my original design ideas was hanging a vintage mourning bead from the larger ring and using darker leather like in the giveaway photo. But the fun colors in this pendant encouraged me to use a brighter leather. It was between this spring green and a bright orange. I didn’t want the orange leather to become too much of a focal point, so green it was.
I’m really looking forward to making more of my design ideas as well as other ones I had when I happily fell down the Nunn rabbit hole. Thanks, Nunn Design!
